OVERVIEW

Your baby’s first year of life was an amazing time. It was filled with discovery and tremendous growth. Now your toddler is experimenting and meeting new challenges daily while learning how to use his/her newly discovered independence skills to explore his/her new environment.

We recognize that children at this age may be at different stages of development. Some are now upright and have started walking, while others are exploring the other areas of development.

No matter where your toddler is in his/her development, the toddler program at KKLC is specially designed to accommodate your child’s every need.

CURRICULUM

Our toddler program follows a weekly lesson plan which includes age appropriate activities that will meet all the developmental needs of your child.

Whether looking at wonderfully colored books, engaging in interactive play or building trusting relationships with teachers and/or fellow friends, your child’s social, emotional cognitive and physical development will be enhanced.

Our program includes a curriculum that is theme based and focuses on building language, creativity, fine and gross motor skills along with social interaction.

On a daily basis, our toddlers will enjoy a variety of activities including:

CLASSROOM

Our toddler classroom has been designed to create a rich and stimulating learning atmosphere, allowing each child to develop beautifully at their own pace. Bright primary colors will awaken the senses and invite every child to explore and discover their surrounding environment. With mirrored walls and soft, cozy playscapes throughout, your child will be immersed in learning and fun.

COMMUNICATION

We stress the importance of good communication between our staff and the parents in providing quality care for each child. Each day parents will receive a detailed written report (“All About Me” Sheet) that will include information about meal times, sleeping/resting, toilet training and other developmental activities.
