Kindergarten
Overview
Kindergarten plays an important role in the growth and development of your child. It is here that your child will begin the foundation for the rest of his education. In deciding on a Kindergarten program at KKLC, the only decision that you have to make is if your child will enjoy a full day or half day kindergarten program.
Full Day vs. Half Day Kindergarten
What will Benefit Your Child?
We firmly believe that a full day of kindergarten is more effective than a half day of kindergarten. Full day kindergarten provides for a slower paced, more relaxed school day in which children have more time to interact with one another, and learn. This provides a stronger academic foundation for all kindergartners.
Our full day Kindergarten program also:
- Allows teachers to have more time to work individually with students.
- Allows more time for teachers to assess each child.
- Allows more group activities and socialization.
- Allows more comprehensive units of study including “hands-on” experiences with math, science, social studies and more.
- Allows children to participate in field trips and other extra curricular activities that enhance the learning experience.
- Allows parents to have peace of mind at home or at work knowing that they do not have to make transportation arrangements or search for a before or after care program.
KKLC offers a full day kindergarten program for parents that want their child to experience a program rich in educational opportunities. In addition, any child whose birthday is on or before December 31st but misses their public school cutoff, can attend KKLC full day kindergarten program, pass a placement test and be admitted into 1st grade.
For children that attend a public school half day program, we offer a private half day program at our center for the other half of the day. Inquire within for more information.
